HMD and inTouch launch the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition with Mary, the 24/7 AI companion for older adults
London, 21 October 2026 — In France, one in three people aged 65 and over lives alone, according to INSEE. In the UK, more than four million do, according to the ONS. Families do their best to stay close, but even daily calls may not be enough.
Questions, worries and moments of loneliness do not always happen at convenient times. They can come in the middle of the afternoon, late in the evening, or at 4am.
That is why HMD, in partnership with inTouch, today announces a limited-edition trial of the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition with Mary, a specialized AI companion: a simple, safe and familiar flip phone designed for older adults, equipped with a dedicated AI companion available around the clock. The phone was unveiled at MWC Barcelona in March 2026 as the first in a series of phones designed to support older adults ageing at home.
Mary is there in the long moments between family calls and visits
With one press of the Mary button, users start a conversation with the AI companion designed for older adults. Mary listens, remembers, responds without judgement and offers support in everyday moments and tasks. She can answer questions, provide reassurance, help recall important information, and simply be present for conversation whenever one is needed.

A limited edition of the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition with Mary is available from today in France and the UK at €79.90 / £79.99. Each user gets 5 hours of free conversation with Mary to test the service. Once these hours are used, a subscription with inTouch is required, at €19.90 / £16.90 per month.
